David Call’s False Prophet
A week and half ago When I read an article about the Ear Foundation that is looking for more Deaf adults to get cyborgized by cochlear implants (CI) for several reasons: “significant benefits and economy”, it raised a red flag. When I was 30 years old, I was asked to get CI so I could get a job and be happy for the rest of my life. That is a ludicrous and ignorant statement.
The idea of acculturating Deaf adults into “hearing mind” while the doctors are shifting to a different business model with their CI hoaxes means that the audists are sensationalizing themselves into ushering Deaf people to their own ignorance.
Eight years later, in February 2013, I had a heart attack and was taken to the emergency room (ER) with many cords pinned to my body, especially my heart, to check up with EKG to make sure my heart remained stable. The very first thing, one of my team of doctors asked me if I wanted CI, right over my Deaf body. I was shocked!
That was for economics to increase significant benefits for the hospitals. That was how the mouse hiccups for the cheese. The CI question had become a ruthless and wicked trick.
Now let’s look at Gallaudet University as an example of similar economical struggles. There exists a CI service in one of the academic buildings.

This Gallaudet slogan consists not only threatening to Deaf people, but also their intellectual lives. Is it hatred or an honest dissent? The word hopes for Deaf people to hear.
I know that President Abraham Lincoln would have not approved that word on the Gallaudet seal because his vision back in 1864 was to help the Deaf people gain success with college education.
Now, 150 years later, Gallaudet University President Alan Hurwitz has allowed EPHPHATHA (there is no Hebrew equivalent term)
With Hope to Cure Deaf People
The question is why does Gallaudet herd Deaf students into getting CI with false hopes? What a shameful professionalism! In other words, Gallaudet lacks empathy and compassion, and it becomes a self-centered drive for their economics by belittling young Deaf adults at the expense of CI companies for their habitually misleading “hearing” enterprise.
Deaf adults should not feel shame for the pain of Audists. The same society we live in will not change because they feel the barbarity of kicking the Deaf around not for getting CI. There is no legal remedy when Audism occurs within an intimidation or threat targeting Deaf adults to get CI. In fact, under the law, the intimidations and threats are not even protected under the First Amendment. It applies to threats involving people who are motivated by Audism-animus that supports the injustice, inequality, and corruption.
I was intrigued by a story of Prometheus, a Titan bound to a rock ordered by Zeus, suffered many tortures by the claws of eagles trying to eat out of his liver, but his organs kept re-growing every night. Deaf people’s ears will never replace in the hands of CI companies and Audists itself, too!
That is a widespread violation of the Deaf citizens. It is time to replace the Christian slogan, EPHPHAHTA, on the Gallaudet’s seal. It is un-American, non-diversifying, thieving, and illegal with every name in the U.S. Constitution.
