Karl White: A Lifetime Hate Crime Achievement Award

The American Cochlear Implant Alliance (ACI) recently presented Karl White: a Lifetime Achievement Award for his tyranny practices of Deaf last July 2019.

1) Several Deaf children died of cochlear implant surgery complications.

2) Medical neglect is a genocidal tactic.

3) Deaf citizens are not made to be cyborgs.

4) “Deaf People don’t know what is best for their babies” was the very mistake.

5) Number of Cochlear Implant failures as critical factors hold powers in check.

Karl White has also done something else that many cochlear implant do: It has demanded that Deaf citizens be targeted and take down human dignity. This remains an easy way for cochlear implant companies worldwide, and that is the definition of tyranny: cruel, unreasonable, or arbitrary use of power or control.

That is the lifetime achievement award. Cochlear implant makes a huge profit from Gallaudet University. For your thought, Gallaudet accepted million dollars on donations from cochlear implant, and I am sure there are some people in the administration are on their payrolls. They are afraid if Gallaudet gets a “real deal” Deaf as president, those programs would lose their faces because Gallaudet University would not support cochlear implant companies.

I believe it is all about money. If you decide to open Gallaudet University president’s bank account, you would find plenty of dirty money in the account. Why hide so hard from the Deaf community? When past president and the first “Deaf” president of Gallaudet University, signed a deal to have cochlear implant center on Gallaudet campus in 2006, to achieve its purposes through peer evaluation, information gathering and sharing.

There is no question that Gallaudet University supports Karl White’s lab work as well as inside Gallaudet propaganda is yet another university public relations to dismantle the Deaf community. Karl White asserts that he knows that cochlear implants are better than most about what Deaf people are capable of doing but White clearly indicates in his statement that he’s nothing but all talking. To date, we have yet to understand his work “toward our common collective goals.”

What are these collective goals? Has Karl White taken courses in ASL in order to reach Deaf citizens? What is his current score in ASL Proficiency Interview, believably the most important goals to accomplish these goals? No where in White’s statement has indicated one value that ASL is used for instruction of the Deaf as promoted by the university founder, Edward Miner Gallaudet in honour of his Deaf mother, Sophie Fowler, his father, the Reverend Thomas Hopkins Gallaudet, and his Deaf mentor, Laurent Clerc. Nothing!

Karl White does not deserve Lifetime Achievement Award at all. Hate crime in the making. After all, Karl White deserves a Lifetime Hate Crime Achievement Award.

Year 2064: Cyborg University for the Deaf

The 21^st century will bring many changes to Gallaudet: social changes as we enter the age of international terrorism known as “cochlear implants”, attempting to get rid of ASL and Deaf culture, as our government makes political decisions which will effect many generations to come on a global level.

There are, and will be environmental concerns as once we may run out of batteries. Imagine what if the future of cochlear implants demanding huge changes in 21st century would most likely to use genocide steps in scientific research, complete with its own moral quandaries over DNA identification, stem cell cloning, and cures for the state of being Deaf.

We are at economic struggles—where the technology is difficult to stabilize, due in part to foreign competition, outsourcing of labor and volatile stock market prices. Another problem that is already apparent and will become more so in the near future is the growing problem at Gallaudet University. The set up of a cochlear implant center at Gallaudet University is already a big red flag.

The sharing of cochlear implant center is bound to reach scarcity as we enter into this new era, unless we discard our Deaf culture and adopt a more effectual way of living, by replenishing, and reducing human oppression from the society telling us to get cochlear implant or else.

From an article (look below for references): “By 2064, it’s entirely possible that neural engineers may be fluent enough to mimic those instructions, allowing them to repair a human being’s faulty systems by rewiring them.”

Is Gallaudet University powerful and educated enough need to conjure more ways to share these valuable resources with Deaf community in an ever-growing international economy and global community that the money is for cochlear implant mapping is more important than ASL?

Unless we bring our knowledge and truth, then cochlear implant companies would seriously interfere with Gallaudet University as a community of international commerce in action.

The future is now unpredictable. We need to preserve ASL and Deaf culture in an optimistic and innovative attitude of change, with educational and economic oppression regarding the cochlear implant industries, the resources we insist using ASL in abundance, in fact, we do not need oppression.

Futurologist and transhumanist Ray Kurzweil who works for Google, said that all the humans will be immortal in the year 2045. human beings will also become immortal in the year 2045. (references below)

I remember attending Michael Chorost’s lecture, How to Put Your Brain on the Internet held at Library of Congress in DC few years ago, he was talking about the future of cochlear implants–and hope for cyborg-sim. I was furious and asked him a question that he refused to answer. He knew what he was practicing: pure genocide. That’s it.

While democracy is ideally a good and fair system of representation based on the popularity of ASL, it is likely that it will always make from the bottom up. This way, ASL and Deaf culture will spend and live in harmony with a populous Earth, and all its other inhabitants.

A panel of Gallaudet citizens from all walks of life that were educated enough to understand this system would be called upon to preserve Deaf culture first, in turn, affect all of us. Think of that way. Cochlear implant industries, is available to all who seek it, and are decriminalized in order to keep the black market activity and crime to a minimum.

An important direction that Gallaudet needs to be heading again is also to the field of higher education, for example, Deaf Studies, which needs to uproot its knowledge. No cochlear implant industries will ever control Gallaudet University’s economic and political reasons.

While I personally hope that Gallaudet University in 2064 (200 years anniversary of the ground-breaking higher education for Gallaudet students), would make Deaf-centered, Deaf-controlled, and Deaf-oriented university. We must look past our fears and realize that we are entering the age of a global community, where we must all do our part in assuring there will be resources left for our Deaf community, and so forth.

We must look to the heavens and be willing to make the first brave step into uncharted territory, and be willing to pioneer it responsibly, learning from the way we have transformed Gallaudet in 1864, in order to maintain a healthy environment. Think about quality and quantity of life in a changing world for Deaf people.

We must raise a religious barrier, EPHPHATHA, on the Gallaudet’s seal that we are all taught to struggle ourselves. It is only when we make these realizations that we have a true chance of surviving ASL and Deaf culture, and making the most of what the miracles of earth and life would have to offer. I do not even want to think that Gallaudet University will be full of cyborgs. They would call it Cyborg University for the Deaf. Scary thought, eh?

Bad Cochlea: How Cochlear Implant Corporations Mislead Deaf Children

Cochlear implants has been called the language of miracle deeply “rooted” in Deaf Culture. Wrong! Science means experiment. Concrete constitutes a real thing. We must remind ourselves that our Declaration of Independence makes our country different from any other nation around the world. The Declaration proclaims that Deaf people have inalienable rights to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”—being Deaf is the pursuit of happiness. Cochlear implant is a man-made and it is for awareness, not acquisition like a pumping hot balloon for many innocent people, figuratively speaking to target Deaf babies.

Most recently there are several published articles that are showing that cochlear implant causes high risk for developmental delays in memory and higher thinking, etc. is painful to read. The study of higher socialization of Deaf children due to their assimilation into hearing society (cochlear implants)—Deaf populations in America and globally have been stigmatized and discriminated against throughout history.

Deaf implanted babies who have been the highly oppressed group, falling subject to discrimination and in the past, genocide. This oppression is due to the fact that implementing American Sign Language (ASL) and sign languages rears Deaf children to be intellectually equivalent but socially stunted in comparison with their peers.

There are several articles about cochlear implants that state that the higher social acceptance of cochlear implant makers is the result of only having to know how to be hearing. Technological improvements in cochlear implants mean that all children can have plenty of useful residual hearing. It’s a myth. Cochlear implants rely on the individual’s ability to utilize a defective sense of hearing to understand their world.

Aristotle’s first writings on Deaf people laid the foundation of logical fallacies that were followed for centuries later. He believed that being Deaf is synonymous with being intellectually inferior, and thus coined the phrase deaf and dumb. Aristotle had begun it all.

The Deaf are outsiders in the hearing American world. Shany Mow, the author of How do you dance without music? American Deaf culture: An Anthology wrote that each deaf person has experienced “mental isolation” which he describes in detail; “while everyone is talking or laughing, you are as far as a lone Arab on a desert that stretches along every horizon. Everyone and everything are a mirage; you see them but you cannot touch or become a part of them. Your thirst for connection”

Deaf people who are forced and pushed to get cochlear implant is illegal. Deaf people would get mocked if they do not get cochlear implant. Deaf people come from many angles–from the standpoints of economics, politics, history, ideology, and many disciplines and the laundry list can be breed misery among Deaf people for generations to come. Remember the pursuit of happiness above?

The concern is that Deaf American and other Deaf people everywhere, could enact the strategic multilingualism policies to ensure the protection and preservation of our beloved and precious language (ASL, LSF, BSL, and other more) from possibility of linguistic extinction/loss and sociocultural genocide or undermine the existence of minority language usage. Deaf people everywhere ought to call for the non-intervention policy to make our natural language of the Deaf to the protected status to the listing of endangered language usage in the United States and other countries.

Beginning with the work of AGB in the late 19th century, Deaf people have been frequent and prominent targets of the eugenics movement. It is not widely known by the general public that, in addition to his work as an inventor, Bell was also a leading figure in the education of the deaf in the late 19th century and 20th centuries. In order to put this issue into context, it is important to consider Bell and the educational and social programs he promoted.

In a time of great economic, scientific, and technological advancement of cochlear implants, it is a mistake to believe that it is a miracle. Cochlear implant corporations are trying to be “global” in scope. They target Deaf people everyday. Clearly the cochlear implant corporations have shown themselves to be guilty of bigotry and excluding Deaf people from consideration. What bothers me the most is that cochlear implant makers are promoting “rags-to-riches”, “unknown-to-known” and “Deaf person-can-now-hear” hoax. It is not necessarily a privilege to be Deaf, but it is certainly has it benefits. That is why we have ASL and Deafhood. Deaf people are concrete!
